Policies & Requirements

POLICIES

  • Minimum flight time – Any schedule block exceeding 4 hours will be billed at a minimum of 50% of the time scheduled. (Ex: Student reserves plane for 7hrs, 8am–3pm, but only flies 2.5hrs is subject to an additional 1hr charge to meet 3.5hr minimum.)

  • Overnight trips are not permitted.

  • Instructors - Only those instructors who have been approved by Airplanes & Attitude are authorized to provide flight instruction in Airplanes & Attitude aircraft.

  • Cancellation & No-Show Policy

    We understand that unexpected things happen, but last-minute cancellations and no-shows impact our instructors and other students. The following charges apply for cancellations that are not weather-related:

    • Instructional flight cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice: $150

    • Non-instructional flight cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice: $75

    • No-show for an instructional flight (1 hour or less notice or failure to appear): $225

    • No-show for a non-instructional flight: $150

    Weather-related cancellations are always exempt from fees.

    Excused Cancellations:
    Each user is allowed one waived cancellation fee every six months, provided the cancellation is not a no-show. No-shows are not eligible for fee waivers.

  • Master switch – $75 shop fee will be assessed to your account if the battery is low and/or needs charged or jump started due to master switch being left on.

  • Late Return – Student agrees to return the aircraft at or before the end of their scheduled time. If weather or other extenuating circumstances prevent a timely return, pilot must notify the operator of the delay. Failure to do so will result in a $60 charge for late return with an additional $60 for each hour the aircraft is late.

  • Smoking or Usage of Electronic Cigarettes — Are strictly prohibited in our aircraft for all individuals within on board, and may result in restriction of access to Airplanes & Attitude aircraft, and removal from the organization.

  • Insurance – Students are required to hold an “Aircraft Non-owners Insurance Policy” from an independent insurance company with a hull value coverage of at least $50,000.  Student will be held responsible for damages up to this amount.  Airplanes and Attitude reserves the right to increase coverage requirements when deemed appropriate.  AVEMCO policies are not accepted.   • Airport fees – Any fees (landing, ramp, tie-down, etc.) charged at other airports are the student's responsibility. Any fee taken on by the renter that gets billed to Airplanes & Attitude will be billed to the student's account plus $20 processing fee.

  • Fuel Reimbursement – Airplanes & Attitude will reimburse fuel purchased at other airports up to the price that KGVT is selling at. Receipt must be provided within 48 hours of purchase.

  • Post-flight procedures – Verify mags are off, remove trash/personal items, clean out any mud/debris/crumbs from seats/carpets, buckle seatbelts, wipe down leading edges, and replace control lock + pitot cover. If airplane is left in unsatisfactory condition $25 fee may be assessed to your account.

  • Passenger policy – Pilots 23 and younger are not permitted to carry passengers in our airplanes. Exceptions may be made for adult family members and safety pilots.

  • Flight Instructor Time – Flight instructor charges start at the beginning of the scheduled flight time. Student is encouraged to arrive early to preflight the aircraft. Flight instructor charges stop at the completion of logbook entry and debrief.

  • Schedule Access: Student must be an active student retain scheduling access.  If Student has not scheduled a dual flight in >30 days, they will be deemed inactive unless a circumstance has been discussed with and approved by the Operator.  After removal, Student will go back on the waitlist if they wish to get back on the schedule.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Executed rental agreement (Contact us to receive this)

  • Copy of your driver's license (or other Government Issued ID) AND Birth Certificate, OR a copy of your unexpired Passport

  • Non-owner's insurance policy with required hull value coverage (see requirements above)

  • Pilot's license (or student license) Required prior to solo flight.

  • Copy of medical Required prior to solo flight.

  • Payment method to be kept on file

SCHEDULING / BILLING

Scheduling and billing are done through Flight Circle. Payment is due upon completion of each flight via Credit Card (3% fee) or ACH draft.
